Enabling Verizon's V10 hotspot

ive been using the verizon model on net10 and was having trouble activating the hotspot because the phone would recognize the sim card as not being from verizon, i came across a thread for the lg g4 verizon model and tried it on the v10 and it worked. im guessing you have to be rooted for this to work. heres the link to the original guide http://ift.tt/1LUr6Ee
