In short, if I let TWRP install supersu on exit, or if i install the latest stable or beta supersu, TWRP reboots the phone mid-install and supersu is not installed.
I've unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 (latest 2x), took a full nandroid backup, allowed TWRP to install supersu on exit and it worked. Then I tried to install a rom (Android Revolution HD 20.0) but i learnt my firmware was too old, so I restored the nandroid backup and the system worked, but now I can't get root back to install sunshine etc. The phone reboots mid supersu install.
I've cleared caches, re-restored, reflashed twrp, i tried twrp 3.x however that didn't boot, so I flashed back to 2.x ok, and i've tried both the latest stable and beta supersu.
Can someone help with further steps to try? This worked the first time, I guess the nandroid backup and restore process isn't perfect.
Thanks.
