I recently received the 8500 mAh battery case for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from Zero Lemon. I have had previous battery cases from them, including for the S6 Edge.
In terms of the most important aspect of this case, the battery, I was able to have about 3 days use before I needed to charge it again. I charged both my phone and the case Friday night. I started from Saturday 10:05am 100% until my phone reached 15% and the case was depleted on Monday at 9:28pm. This case is great for long trips, or extended time away from a charger. I will soon be going on vacation, and this will be extremely helpful for the journey there.
As for price - $60 for now. Seems high in terms of mAh as a standalone battery, but It's a good price for a battery case, considering the Note 5 is the same price and has 3000 mAh less capacity.
In terms of features, the only thing missing is NFC and wireless charging. That's to be expected, considering the size of the case. With the case on, the phone is a little less than an inch thick. Don't expect it to look pretty, but it comes in a variety of colors, as long as that color is black. It would be nice for more color options, but I'm not too picky. The case allows for fast through-charging, and it will charge your phone first and the case second. It comes with an extra micro to micro USB adapter in case the first gets lost or broken. It even has a full USB port to charge another device at the same time. I was able to charge both the phone and case overnight, so even at the large capacity, it won't take too long before getting to 100%. The thickness of the case did not interfere with the camera or flash, but it does make it difficult to use the biometric sensor on the back. I heard no complaints about my voice being muffled while on calls either, but the speaker does become a bit muffled when listening to music or another type of media.
If you have any kind of skin on your phone, it will have a hard time fitting in this case. The back skin I had fit fine, but the front kept bunching up where it slid under the case edge. I eventually took off the front skins from my phone. The buttons are a little hard to press, it would have been nice to have them attached as a separate button instead of just a single piece molding. The LEDs on the back of the case indicate what level the battery is at. However, it didn't seem entirely accurate as to the indicators. Monday morning the lights were showing 50%, but it was dead before it fully charged my phone back up. The lights are also a bit bright at night, I was actually able to use them to find my way around in the dark. The case of course also makes the phone quite heavy.
All in all, if you are looking to extend the life of your phone away from an outlet, this case is a good way to go. As long as you are fine with a thick black brick of a case, you will be able to spend at least a couple days away from a charger. At $60, the case is a good price for the capacity you get, just be sure to get it now before the price goes up. Be ready to carry a phone with over 11000 mAh, and a thickness close to an inch.
