lg g4 tmobile finally got mine.

i have a few questions and want to be prepared for next week.. am getting a tmobile unlocked for sim carrier..
what is th first thing i should do? i cant back up like EFS right unless i unlock bootloader. i don not want to just yet..
can we have root without bootloader.?
